You will learn all aspects of floristry including wedding floristry, funeral flowers, formal and informal arrangements and bouquets. The business aspects will be covered including pricing, setting up your website, social media, photography and marketing.
You will be using a wide range of different types of foliage, flowers and containers. All flowers are brought in fresh for your session and are sourced both internationally and locally so that you are exposed to as many varieties of flowers and foliage as possible.
We will visit a local wholesaler where buying will be explained and we will also visit a local flower farm to learn more about growing your own flowers.
Having a commercial mindset is a consistent theme running throughout the course, because after all, if you are setting up a business you want it to be profitable!
